Haxby 10k
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that the Haxby 10K returns on Sunday 17th May 2026.
Following the success of our inaugural race last year, this fantastic road race is back and better than ever. Set in the glorious surroundings of Haxby, the course is flat and fast — making it an ideal opportunity to chase down a personal best.
Our race HQ is based at Oaken Grove Community Centre, where you will line up and set off through the surrounding streets and closed roads to the north of Haxby. The event is proudly hosted by Haxby Runners in partnership with Haxby Town Football Club.
At its heart, the Haxby 10K is a community event — a chance for us to show off our beloved town and everything that makes it so special. We are not only looking to celebrate the community spirit that runs through both Haxby Town FC and Haxby Runners, but also to raise money for the local clubs and projects that are close to our hearts.
Our UK Athletics licensed 10K route has been specifically designed to be fast and flat, giving every runner a genuine shot at a personal best. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or someone lacing up for the very first time at this distance, this is a route built with you in mind.
Whatever your reason for signing up, we cannot wait to see you run — or run and walk — every last metre of it.
Volunteer
An event like the Haxby 10K only happens because of the brilliant people who give up their time to make it run smoothly — and we need you.
Whether you fancy marshalling the route, helping out at the start and finish, or handing out water to runners as they pass, there is a role for everyone. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to get involved and cheer on a few hundred people having the time of their lives.
If you would like to volunteer on the day, please fill in the form below and we will be in touch with more details closer to the event.
